About The Event
This summit is a meaningful gathering focused on strengthening cross-border collaboration between American Samoa and Samoa to improve preparedness and response efforts during infectious disease emergencies. This event brings together healthcare professionals, government leaders, community partners and advocates who share a common commitment to improving public health outcomes across both islands.
The summit will feature a combination of presentations, facilitated discussions, and interactive workshops designed to support collaboration between American Samoa and Samoa. Participants will engage in gap analysis discussions to identify strengths and areas for improvement in current preparedness and response systems, followed by opportunities to share experiences and perspectives across both jurisdictions. Through guided workshop sessions, participants will work toward developing a shared understanding and mutual agreements that strengthen coordination, clarify priorities, and enhance collective response capacity for infectious disease emergencies.
